Principal’s Welcome

Welcome to Kadina Memorial School

Kadina Memorial School is a proud R–12 school, established in 2013 through the amalgamation of Kadina Primary and Kadina Memorial High School. As the only ‘Memorial’ school in South Australia, we carry a unique legacy that honours the service of women and men in the armed forces. This history grounds us in values of respect, service, and community, while inspiring our students to look confidently to the future.

As the largest school outside metropolitan Adelaide, KMS offers students a strong sense of connection and belonging from Reception to Year 12. We call this R–12ness – the opportunity for younger and older students to learn from one another, build positive relationships, and develop lifelong skills in communication, empathy, and global awareness.

Our school values – Opportunity, Respect, and Excellence – guide all that we do. Alongside our site priorities of Literacy, Numeracy, Optimism, and Resilience, we place a strong emphasis on student wellbeing. Through the Berry Street Education Model and Trauma Informed Practice, we are equipping students with the social, emotional, and academic skills they need to thrive. With the support of passionate staff, students are encouraged to be curious, courageous, and persistent learners, with access to a broad and challenging curriculum, enriched by opportunities in the arts, sport, leadership, and vocational pathways.

Strong partnerships with parents and our wider community are central to our success. Whether through volunteering, supporting events, or contributing through our Governing Council, families play an active role in shaping a safe, inclusive, and thriving learning environment. Together, we prepare young people not only for their future pathways, but to live out our values of Opportunity, Respect, and Excellence as respectful, resilient, and valued members of the community.
